With the deciding State of Origin clash taking place later that evening, there's no better way to get into the spirit than by hearing from someone who has lived the game at the highest level. Peter will share stories from his time with the Melbourne Storm, offer a behind-the-scenes look at professional rugby league, and provide his unique perspective on one of Australia's greatest sporting rivalries. Since hanging up the boots, Peter has continued to make a significant impact on the game through his work in player wellbeing and education with the Melbourne Storm and the NRL. Working closely with current and emerging players, he has helped shape the next generation of rugby league talent, supporting athletes both on and off the field. His unique experiences, spanning elite competition through to player development and mentoring, promise an engaging and insightful presentation. Our luncheon will be held at the iconic Royal Saxon in Richmond. Known for its outstanding hospitality and relaxed atmosphere, it's the perfect setting to enjoy an afternoon of great food, good company and the fellowship that has defined Beer & Beef for more than 60 years. Keeping the afternoon flowing will be our MC, Michael Roberts, whose trademark wit and humour are sure to make this another memorable Beer & Beef event. Members from all over the country are invited to come together for a Coopers Brewery tour, a variety of food and beverage experiences, and the opportunity to connect with members from across Australia. The event will be held at the London Tavern Hotel, a fitting backdrop for our March Luncheon. This century-old venue blends historic charm with modern pub vibrancy and is well known for its spacious, lively atmosphere and large, partially covered beer garden — an ideal setting for a relaxed and enjoyable gathering. Join us for another great Beer & Beef Dinner at the St Andrews Hotel in Fitzroy, featuring guest speaker Daniel Moorfield, CEO of SecondBite and Fareshare. David brings extensive experience in the not-for-profit and food relief sectors and leads two of Australia’s most impactful organisations addressing food insecurity. His insights into community support, sustainability, and the role of the hospitality and food industries in driving positive social outcomes promise to make for an engaging and informative presentation. Following on from the success of our last two dinner events at St Andrews, this will be an evening event kicking off at 6PM. A long-time favourite with Beer & Beef members, the St Andrews Hotel has recently been recognised at the highest level, winning Best Pub Restaurant in Metropolitan Victoria at the 2025 Australian Hotels Association (AHA) Awards, followed by the National AHA Award for Australia’s Best Pub Restaurant. The venue was also a finalist in several other categories, including Best Casual Dining and Best Bar — a testament to its strong local history and continued commitment to quality pub food and service.
